Get to Know Me

Marisse Padron, MD is a general pediatrician who trained at »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ Children’s Hospital, Floria in Orlando. Previously, she attended Florida International University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She then went on to receive her medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. In her spare time, Marisse enjoys serving her community by helping provide care to uninsured children through the »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ Mobile Clinic. Her current areas of interest include General Pediatrics, Complex Care, and Developmental Pediatrics.

Why I Treat Children

I treat children because they are our future. Coming from a family of immigrants, I wanted to make sure that future families did not have the same difficulty my family had when it came to navigating through the medical system.

What I'm Passionate About

Ever since high school when I first started volunteering with the Exceptional Theatre Company, which allows autistic individuals to perform musicals, I was instantly interested in working with children. Then in college, I volunteered at Ronald McDonald House and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, which continued to remind me that pediatrics was an option for me in the field of medicine. However, it was my 4x cardiac surgery survivor from Camp Boggy Creek that helped me realize that pediatrics was the field I belong in. Thanks to those experiences, I’m passionate about healthy lifestyles, development, and complex conditions.

How I Try to Make A Difference

I spent the last 3 years of residency volunteering for »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ Mobile Clinic, where I provided care for uninsured children. I also participated in other volunteering opportunities ranging from Give Kids the World to Walk for Wishes. My volunteer experience at Camp Boggy Creek is the reason I chose pediatrics!
